This 10G SFP+ media converter allows simple conversion between 1G/2.5G/5G/10GBase-T copper and 10GBase-X fiber. This 10G Ethernet media converter is designed with a 10Gbase Ethernet PHY chip that smoothly connects two types of segments. This media converter can be used as a standalone unit or as the slide-in module for the 19” converter rack Chassis at a central wiring closet.
Flexible and Reliable High-Speed Network Distance Extension Solution
This 10G Ethernet media converter has one RJ-45 auto-negotiation port and one open SFP+ port. The RJ-45 port auto-negotiates with 10GBASE-T, 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, and 1000BASE-T. The open SFP+ port supports a wide range of 10G SFP+ transceiver include 10GBASE-SR, 10GBASE-LR, 10GBASE-LRM, 10GBASE-ER, 10GBASE-ZR, 10GBASE-BX and 10GBASE-CWDM.
It provides an ideal solution to extend the transmission distance of a traditional 10G copper (RJ45) based network. By choosing a 10GBASE-ZR SFP+ module over singlemode fiber, you could achieve 80km. This 10G SFP+ fiber media converter is suitable for use in network environments where ultra-high bandwidth provided by 10G Ethernet is required.

I bought this to convert 10G fiber to 5GBase-T for my Wi-Fi 6E AP. My Juniper switch does not negotiate 5G, even with the appropriate SFP. This convertor was the perfect solution. Quality build and well engineered, far exceeded my expectations. I love how the data activity LEDs reflect closer to actual dataflow and there’s nothing to limit the rate of their blinking. I prefer this over the semi-fake tri-blinking of Cisco switches for example… Power cord could be longer (6ft instead of 3) and made of a softer material, but that’s my only complaint for this otherwise excellent and cost effective product!
