HPE 5120 EI Switch Series Overview
The HP 5120 EI Switch Series consists of Gigabit Ethernet switches that support static Layer 3 routing, diversity services, and IPv6 forwarding and provide up to four 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) expansion interfaces. The Unique Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology improves the resiliency, performance, and availability of the network by managing multiple virtual machines as a logical device while reducing operational complexity.
These switches provide Gigabit Ethernet access, which can be used at the edge of the network or connected to the server cluster of the data center. High scalability through two expansion slots to provide investment protection, each expansion slot can support dual port 10 GbE expansion module. High availability, simplified management, and comprehensive security control strategy are one of the key features that distinguish this series.
