Optical Transceiver and optical cable are the essential part of the Ubiquiti UniFi® Switch family, which plays an important role in fiber network cabling infrastructure. This article introduces third-party compatible Transceiver and Optical Cabling Solution for Ubiquiti UniFi® Switch.
Ubiquiti UniFi® Switch Series Overview
UniFi Switch is managed by UniFi®Controller software to provide powerful performance, intelligent switching, and PoE + support for your enterprise network. The models of the UniFi switch include 24 or 48 RJ45 Gigabit port options. The UniFi® controller provides a graphical user interface for easy configuration and monitoring of UniFi switches and other UniFi devices. The UniFi Switch is a fully managed, PoE+ Gigabit switch, delivering robust performance and intelligent switching for growing networks.
Ubiquiti UniFi® Switch
Features
• Switching performance
The UniFi switch provides forwarding capability that can handle traffic on all ports at the same rate as the line rate without losing any packets.
• PoE + flexibility
The UniFi switch models have 8, 16, 24, or 48 adaptive IEEE 802.3af / at or configurable 24V PoE PoE Gigabit Ethernet ports to simplify your infrastructure. By default, the UniFi switch automatically detects 802.3af / at devices, so they automatically receive PoE. For 24V passive PoE devices, use the UniFi controller software to manually enable 24V passive PoE.
• Fiber Connectivity
The UniFi switch provides fiber connectivity options for easy expansion of the network. Each UniFi switch model includes two SFP ports for up to 1 Gbps uplink. Two SFP + ports are added for each 48-port high-capacity uplink up to 10 Gbps, so you can connect directly to a high-performance storage server or deploy a remote uplink to another switch.
