The MC-GMA11-05x Series is a Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter designed to convert 10/100/1000BASE-T copper to 1000BASE-SX fiber optic. The Gigabit Ethernet media converter extends the distance of your network by interconnecting LAN devices that are physically separated by large distances, which provides you with a simple and very cost-effective solution for connecting Gigabit Ethernet LANs over fiber optic. The MC-GMA11-05x series provides 550 m(0.34 miles) transmit distance over multi-mode fiber at the wavelength of 850nm. It also provides SC, ST, and FC connector options for different users.
Manufactured with the latest IC packages from the USA or Taiwan and a high-quality fiber optical transceiver, our Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter provides an excellent electrical characteristic to ensure reliable data transmission and long working life. 6 Group LED indicated lights could fully monitor the working conditions of Media Converters, which makes it easy for end-users to observe and diagnose the failure of network operation. This Gigabit Ethernet media converter provides external power as default. It can be used as a stand-alone unit or inserted into Optcore’s low-cost 14-slot Media Converter Rack Chassis(MC-RACK-14), allowing all the media converters to be powered by a single internal power supply.
