Optcore’s QSFP-100G-SR4 is a parallel 100 Gbps Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable QSFP28 optical transceiver for use in 100Gb/s Ethernet. The QSFP28 SR4 transceiver is compliant with the QSFP28 MSA and IEEE 802.3bm. The QSFP28 full-duplex optical transceiver offers 4 independent transmit and receive channels, each capable of 25Gb/s operation for an aggregate data rate of 100Gb/s on 70 meters of OM3 or 100 meters of OM4 multi-mode ribbon fiber, using a nominal wavelength of 850nm.
The QSFP-100G-SR4 transceiver optics uses an MSA compliant 38 pin edge type connector on the electrical interface and uses a 12 fiber MPO (MTP) connector optical interface. The QSFP28 SR4 optical transceiver has built-in DDM functions per QSFP28 MSA, which allows real-time access to the following operating parameters: transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage.
