Good Afternoon,
If I am changing out a Fiber Media Converter do I need to change both of them to make sure they have the exact same specs or can one be a different manufacturer with the same specs or a different manufacturer with the slightly different specs? Kind of like apples to apples or apples to oranges? Does that make sense? Thank you.

Generally speaking, we recommend using the fiber media converter from the same manufacuter to ensure compatibility. You may also use the fiber media converter from a different manufacuter, but remeber to check the datarate, connector typem, fiber wavelength, supported fiber type and fiber cable length before ordering.
