622Mbps 1490nm-TX/1550nm-RX 150-160km BiDi SFP Optical Transceiver Module for SDH STM-4/SONET OC-12

Optcore’s OPB622-45A6xCR is a hot-pluggable SFP bi-directional (BiDi) transceiver module specifically for duplex optical data communications such as SDH STM-4/SONET OC-12 and 622Mb/s ATM ultra long reach an application. This 622Mbps BiDi SFP module provides 150km to 160km transmission distance over the single strand of single-mode fiber. Compared with commonly used dual fiber SFP transceiver modules, this BiDi SFP transceiver allows end users to reduce the total cost on fiber cabling infrastructure by requiring half of the fiber cables, providing increased transmission capacity very convenient without installing new fibers.

The transmitter section uses a 1490nm DFB laser that is a class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard IEC 60825. The receiver section uses a high-speed 1550nm APD photodiode (PD) integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA). The BiDi SFP module is fully compliant with the SFP Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA) and SFF-8472. For further information, please see SFP MSA and SFF-8472 standard.

An OPB622-45A6xCR is always connected with an OPB622-54A6xCR over a single fiber.
