This generic compatible 100G BiDi QSFP28 transceiver supports 100GBASE-BX throughput up to 10km over a single-mode fiber. It has been coded and tested to perform identically to generic QSFP-100G-BX10U. This QSFP28 utilizes 1271nm-TX/1331nm-RX wavelength and simplex LC connector. Therefore, the network operator can double the transmission capacity without deploying new fiber. However, these bidirectional modules must be paired with another transceiver or network appliance that operates on complementary wavelengths. This 100G BiDi transceiver is suitable for fiber connectivity in data centers, high-performance computing networks, enterprise cores, and service provider applications.
