This IBM BN-CKM-SP-ER compatible SFP+ transceiver supports 10GBase-ER (10.31 Gbps) and 10GBase-EW (9.95 Gbps) throughput up to 40km over single-mode fiber (SMF). It operates at a 1550nm wavelength and features an LC duplex connector. Following various industry standards, the transceiver complies with SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae. That ensures seamless interoperability and flexibility within a multi-vendor network. The 10GBase-ER SFP+ is specially designed to address the challenges of long-distance connections in 10G networks. It delivers a low-cost solution for long-reach fiber link interconnectivity, such as data center interconnect (DCI), campus networks, metro area networks, telecom networks, and enterprise backbone networks. Most importantly, we code and test each SFP+ module to ensure it works with the 10G SFP+ port of IBM network switches, routers, servers, and network interface cards (NICs).
