Optcore’s OSP8G-3110DCR-CSC is a low cost replacement for Cisco DS-SFP-FC8G-LW 8G Fibre Channel SFP+ LW (long wavelength) transceiver module. It is a high performance small form factor pluggable SFP+ transceiver module for 8 Gigabit Fibre Channel (8GFC) storage applications, which provides links up to 10km over single mode fiber. This 8G SFP+ LW transceiver module features a highly reliable 1310nm DFB transmitter and PIN photo-detector into duplex LC optical connector. The SFP+ module is comply with SFP+ MSA specifications (SFF-8431, SFF-8432, SFF-8472) and Fibre Channel FC-PI-4 specifications.
This 8G FC SFP+ LW transceiver is programmed to be compatible with a wide range of Cisco network equipment such as Storage Area Network (SAN) switches, routers, network interface cards (NICs) and other storage networking equipment, which makes it to be an ideal equivalent to high-cost Cisco DS-SFP-FC8G-LW 8G SFP+ LW transceiver module.
