Optcore’s OPC2488-xx80DCR-CSC is a high-performance and cost-effective Coarse Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (CWDM) SFP single mode transceiver for OC-48/STM-16, 2x Fiber Channel, and Gigabit Ethernet long reach (LR-2) application. It fully complies with the SFP Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA) and can be used on the MSA-compliant networking equipment. It provides a maximum transmission distance of 80km over single mode fiber. It is available for all 18 CWDM channels from 1270 nm to 1610 nm wavelengths, which helps the customer increase the bandwidth of an existing fiber infrastructure without adding new fiber strands. This CWDM CWDM SFP transceiver need use with CWDM Multiplexer/Demultiplexer (CWDM Mux/Demux) that is separately sold by Optcore. The CWDM SFP optics transceiver is a Class 1 laser product that complies with FDA/CDRH and IEC-60825 standards.

The OPC2488-xx80DCR-CSC CWDM SFP transceiver is programmed and tested to be compatible with Cisco networking equipment such as switches, routers, NICs and other optical transport devices. It is an ideal equivalent to Cisco CWDM-SFP-1470~1610 single mode long reach (LR-2) SFP optical module at a much lower price, which provides a reliable compatible CWDM SFP optics solution for system integrators, distributors, and end-users in fiber infrastructure.
