Optcore’s OPC4G-xx80DCR is CWDM SFP transceiver module for 4.25Gb/s, 2.125Gb/s and 1.06Gb/s Fibre Channel (4GFC,2GFC,1GFC) applications in storage area networks. The 4G CWDM SFP module provides high capacity, high bandwidth communication solutions for multiplexed storage area networks. This 4G CWDM SFP transceiver module supports 70km to 80km transmission distance over single-mode fiber. It features a highly reliable CWDM DFB transmitter and APD photodetector into a LC Duplex optical connector. There are 18 center wavelengths available from 1270nm to 1610nm with each step 20nm.
The 4G CWDM SFP module complies with SFP MSA specifications ( SFF-8074i, SFF-8472) and Fibre Channel FC- PI-2 Rev.8.0 specifications. It’s suitable for use with SAN switches, routers, network interface cards (NICs), and other storage networking equipment. Additionally, the 4G Fibre Channel CWDM SFP transceiver module has been integrated with an enhanced digital diagnostic monitoring interface (DDMI) per SFF-8472, which provides real-time monitoring of the transceiver temperature, laser bias current, optical power, received optical power, and transceiver supply voltage.
The 4G CWDM SFP transceiver need uses with CWDM Multiplexer and Demultiplexer (CWDM Mux and Demux) that is separately sold by Optcore.
