This HPE BladeSystem 455889-B21 compatible SFP+ transceiver supports 10GBase-LRM throughput up to 220m over multimode fiber (MMF). It operates at a 1310nm wavelength and features an LC duplex connector. This 10G SFP+ LRM module is designed for long-distance connectivity using multimode fiber cabling. It allows users to upgrade to 10G networks while still utilizing existing legacy OM1/OM2 fiber optic systems. To achieve the maximum link distance, you should use a mode conditioning patch cord with the transmitter for the OM1/OM2 MMF systems. However, this is not necessary for modern OM3/OM4 cabling systems.
