Optcore’s OSP2488-3140DCR is a high-performance small form factor pluggable SFP module for 2.5Gb/s serial optical data communications such as SDH STM-16 L-16.1/SONET OC-48 LR-1/2x Fibre Channel application. This SFP transceiver module provides a 40km transmission distance over single mode fiber at a nominal wavelength of 1310nm. The transmitter section incorporates a 1310nm DFB laser that is class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard IEC 60825. The receiver section uses a high-speed APD photodetector and trans-impedance preamplifier.
Additionally, the OSP2488-3140DCR SFP module also features a digital diagnostic interface per SFF-8472, which provides real-time monitoring of the transceiver temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, and laser average output power, and received optical power. These parameters are internally calibrated by default.
