This Extreme 10GB-ZR120-SFPP compatible SFP+ transceiver supports 10GBASE-ZR (10.31 Gbps) and 10GBase-ZW (9.95 Gbps) throughput up to 120km over single-mode fiber (SMF). It integrates a cooled EML laser and an APD photodiode into the duplex LC interface, operating at 1550nm wavelength. Following various industry standards, the transceiver complies with SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae. That ensures seamless interoperability and flexibility within a multi-vendor network. The 10GBASE-ZR120 SFP+ is designed to meet the challenges of long-distance connections in 10G networks, allowing users to achieve an ultralong link distance of 120km without requiring additional optical repeaters or amplifiers. As a result, it delivers a low-cost solution for long-reach fiber connectivity between cities or states, such as data center interconnect (DCI), campus networks, metro area networks, telecom networks, and enterprise backbone networks.
