Generic Compatible 100G QSFP28 PSM4 2km Optical Transceiver for Data Center Connectivity
Optcore’s QSFP-100G-PSM4 is a 100 Gbps Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable QSFP28 PSM4 (Parallel Single Mode fiber 4-lane) optical transceiver. The QSFP28 full-duplex optical transceiver offers 4 independent transmit and receive channels, each capable of 25Gb/s operation for an aggregate data rate of 100Gb/s on 2km of single mode fiber. The QSFP28 PSM4 optic transceiver uses a 12 fiber MTP (MPO) connector on the optical interface and uses an MSA-compliant 38-pin edge type connector on electrical interface. An optical fiber ribbon cable with an MTP/MPO connector can be plugged into the QSFP28 transceiver receptacle.
The QSFP-100G-PSM4 is designed with the QSFP28 form factor, optical/electrical connection and digital diagnostic interface according to the QSFP28 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). It has been designed to meet the harshest external operating conditions including temperature, humidity, and EMI interference. The QSFP28 module can be managed through the I2C two-wire serial interface.
The 100G QSFP28 PSM4 optic transceiver provides a low-cost solution to long reach data center optical interconnects for data communications applications, targeted for use in parallel single mode infrastructure to meet the need of next-generation data centers.
