This Cisco SFP-10G-BX80U compatible SFP+ BiDi transceiver supports 10GBASE-BX80 throughput up to 80km over a single strand of single-mode fiber (SMF). Unlike the regular SFP+, this 10G BiDi ZR transceiver features a simplex LC connector that integrates a cooled EML transmitter and an APD receiver. By utilizing the WDM technology, it can transmit a 1490nm wavelength and receive a 1550nm signal simultaneously on the same fiber. This design effectively doubles transmission capacity without requiring new fibers. It helps simplify the fiber cabling infrastructure and reduce network infrastructure costs. Optimized for long-distance transmission, this BiDi SFP+ is ideal for Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs), campus networks, mobile backhaul networks, data center interconnect (DCI), and inter-building connectivity. Please note that this SFP+ BiDi ZR module must be used in matched pairs with another complementary wavelength.
