Cisco CAB-MCP-LC Compatible SM LC to MM SC 62.5/125μm OM1 Mode-Conditioning Patch Cord (MCP Duplex Cable, UPC, PVC/OFNR)
This Mode conditioning patch cables are used when a gigabit 1000Base-LX or 10GBase-LRM (1310 nm) multi-mode transceiver optics have been installed into an existing multimode fiber cable system. It is compatible with Cisco networking equipment and equivalent to genuine CAB-MCP-LC. The CAB-MCP-LC compatible MCP cable consists of a single-mode LC fiber that has been fusion spliced into multimode SC fiber (orange jacket) in an offset manner.
These mode-conditioning patch cord cables utilize a UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) polish and PVC (OFNR) jacket. Please be sure to connect the yellow leg (single-mode) of the cable to the transmit side, and the orange leg (multimode) to the receive side of the equipment. It is imperative that this configuration be maintained on both ends. The mode conditioning cord eliminates the multiple signals.
