Optcore’s OXC8G-xx80DCR is a high performance and cost-effective 8Gb/s CWDM (Coarse Wavelength-Division Multiplexing) XFP ZR optical transceiver, which provides a high capacity, high bandwidth communication solutions for multiplexed optical networks. This optical transceiver is designed for 8 Gigabit (8GFC) applications and provides 80km link distance over single mode fiber. It features a highly reliable CWDM EML transmitter and APD photo-detector into duplex LC optical connector. There are 8 center wavelengths available from 1470nm to 1610nm with each step 20nm.
The OXC8G-xx80DCR transceiver module complies with XFP MSA specifications and Fiber Channel FC-PI-4 specifications. It’s suitable for use with SAN switches, routers, network interface cards (NICs) and other storage networking equipment that support XFP slot.
The 8G CWDM XFP ZR transceiver need uses with CWDM Multiplexer/Demultiplexer (CWDM Mux/Demux) that is separately sold by Optcore.
