Optcore’s OXC8G-xx40DCR is a high performance and cost-effective 8Gb/s CWDM (Coarse Wavelength-Division Multiplexing) XFP ER optical transceiver, which provides a high capacity, high bandwidth communication solutions for multiplexed optical networks. This optical transceiver is designed for 8 Gigabit(8GFC) applications and provides 40km link distance over single mode fiber. It features a highly reliable CWDM EML transmitter and PIN photo-detector into duplex LC optical connector. There are 8 center wavelengths available from 1470nm to 1610nm with each step 20nm.
The OXC8G-xx40DCR transceiver module complies with XFP MSA specifications and Fiber Channel FC-PI-4 specifications. It’s suitable for use with SAN switches, routers, network interface cards (NICs) and other storage networking equipment that support XFP slot.
The 8G CWDM XFP ER transceiver need uses with CWDM Multiplexer/Demultiplexer (CWDM Mux/Demux) that is separately sold by Optcore.
