The OPT2488-8503xxCR series are high-performance and cost-effective 1×9 multi-mode optical transceivers for high-speed serial optical communication that require data rates of 2.5Gb/s. They are suitable for SDH STM-16 and SONET OC-48 short-reach applications. This series of 1×9 optical transceivers provide a 300m transmission distance over multi-mode fiber at a nominal wavelength of 850nm.

Each 1×9 transceiver module consists of a transmitter section and a receiver section. The transmitter incorporates a highly reliable 850 nm VCSEL Laser and a driver circuit that converts Pseudo Emitter Coupled Logic(PECL) data to the light signal. The receiver incorporates a high-speed PIN photodiode converting the light signal into an electrical current which is amplified and regenerated into PECL compatible data.

The OPT2488-8503xxCR series 1×9 transceiver provides the different clients’ choice of duplex SC, FC, or ST receptacle.
