A diferencia de otros nombres que requieren dos fibras, 1000BASE-BX utiliza la tecnolog\u00eda WDM (multiplexaci\u00f3n por divisi\u00f3n de longitud de onda) para permitir la transmisi\u00f3n bidireccional (BiDi) en un solo hilo de fibra. Esto la convierte en una soluci\u00f3n rentable para conexiones de red con una sola fibra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-4de95594-0bf0-4027-a114-5c6ae39333f7\">En pocas palabras, se consigue empleando dos longitudes de onda diferentes (1310nm-TX\/1550nm-RX) en el lado del transmisor y del receptor, separadas por un filtro \u00f3ptico WDM. Este innovador enfoque permite la transmisi\u00f3n simult\u00e1nea de ambas longitudes de onda en la misma fibra, lo que posibilita un uso eficiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-09b2cf91-3de6-46c9-aa7b-2506dec949e9\">Es esencial recordar que los transceptores BiDi deben emparejarse con las longitudes de onda adecuadas. Por ejemplo, si utiliza 1310nm-TX\/1550nm-RX en un extremo, debe utilizar 1550nm-TX\/1310nm-RX en el otro. De lo contrario, el enlace de fibra fallar\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-874704e6-bac1-4d4f-afb9-df398c34a32a\">Variantes de 1000BASE-BX<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-92d81b18-92f1-44a5-bbf2-2d94332bd3e8\">En funci\u00f3n de la distancia m\u00e1xima soportada, 1000BASE-BX puede clasificarse en distintas variantes: 1000BASE-BX10, 1000BASE-BX20, 1000BASE-BX40 y 1000BASE-BX80.
